Mums and Bubs Yoga Classes & Support Group

These gentle and friendly classes will:

  • Re-train your core muscles after the birth of your baby
  • Teach you mindfulness practices to manage the challenges of nurturing your baby and yourself
  • Stretch and strengthen your body in a safe way
  • Release tension and tightness from feeding and carrying your baby
  • Give you time for yourself whilst being with your baby
  • Include simple baby yoga, massage and songs
  • Offer you the opportunity to experience nonjudgemental and accepting support from other mums during the 45 minute discussions

Please have your 6 week check-up after a vaginal birth and 10 – 12 weeks clearance if you had a Caesarean birth before attending.  Make sure you ask your physiotherapist to check your abdomen for any separation of the muscles (Diastasis Recti) and that you are doing pelvic floor exercises correctly.

Life with a new baby can be challenging.  If you are experiencing feelings of overwhelm, anxiety, depression or just feel you are not coping please contact Perinatal Wellbeing Centre.

I have done both the pre and post natal classes with Julia. When I first signed up I wasn’t sure if it would be my thing but what I found was an amazing space where I could just relax and focus on my body and baby. There is something really grounding about being around a group of mothers. Julia has created a truly special space.  Each class has a slightly different routine and is often curated to peoples’ needs that week. The chats with the group at the end are a lovely way to stay connected with other mothers.
