Hi, my name is Julia Willoughby and my passion is supporting women and their partners through this special time of their lives and helping them to feel confident and positive about their journey. My training includes Childbirth Education, general yoga and pre and post natal yoga and I have been teaching for over 18 years.

During the term you will practise safe yoga postures which develop strength, stamina and flexibility and enable you to naturally adopt active birth positions in labour. You will learn simple and effective practices to reduce stress, strengthen your mind set and cope with pain including yogic breathing, mindfulness, movements to help labour progress, visualisations, sound, affirmations and relaxation techniques (To read how women have used these tools check out Birth Stories of some past participants).

Active Birthing Workshops for Couples are held regularly throughout the year and are packed with ideas for your partner or birth helper to support you in ways that complement what you learn in yoga. The workshop is interactive and includes Active Birth positions, labour massage and acupressure, Mindfulness and relaxation, yogic breathing for labour, decision making and much more!
After your baby is born catch up with friends from Prenatal Yoga and make new ones in the relaxed Mums and Bubs classes (Post Natal). Strengthen your pelvic floor and core muscles, relieve tension and tightness in your body, learn some great baby yoga and songs and join in the discussion group afterwards to share valuable information and mothering skills: Click To Enrol
