It is worth checking out whether your Health Fund will give a rebate for Prenatal Yoga classes. Some work places will also pay towards the classes when provided with a receipt
Below is some information about various Health Funds, please check with your health fund too:
Australian Health Management (AHM)
Australian Unity health Ltd – requires letter from a doctor
BUPA (MBF,HBF) – you need to have Living Well as part of extras cover, attend minimum of 8 classes, complete a Living Well Program Approval form (signed by GP, Chiropractor, Physio or Occupational Therapist), have a printed tax invoice with name, address, my ABN number and dates of each class attended
CBHS – Can only claim if is part of a health management program recommended by medical professional
HCF and Manchester Unity – no benefits for yoga
Healthguard – GMF HEALTH – only pays benefit if you are on Complete Necessities cover. I need to register with them for you to claim
Teachers Union health Fund – you need a recommendation from GP to attend yoga, need TUH health Management program Approval Form prior to starting the classes, minimum 1 session a week for 6 weeks and I have to sign a Certificate of Completion form
Teachers health Fund – you need a receipt with my IYTA membership number, ABN and I have to provide proof of insurances and Senior First Aid Certificate
Westfund –offers rebates if I register with them.
