Just wanted to let you know that I had my baby boy and also wanted to express my deep gratitude for your work as a prenatal yoga teacher and birth educator.
I really believe that coming to your yoga classes guided me in how I approached labour mentally and prepared physically and resulted in a quick labour for me and my little son.

He arrived on the 24th of January almost two weeks early and the active labour and birth took around three hours in total- vastly different to the 26 hr marathon of my daughters birth!

The elements from your classes which really helped me included:
  • the simple yoga poses that I could do on a daily basis and fit in whenever
  • the guidance to sit forward- I reckon this help get bub into a good position
  • the affirmations for birth print out- I had it up on my wall and took a copy with me to the hospital ( not that I looked at it there)
  • the advice to rest between contractions- I used the mindfulness techniques to clear the mind at those times.
  • I bought a sacred earth album on your recommendation and that was really good to tune into between contractions- I also started meditating with it on in the week leading up to the birth- I think that might have helped.
  • remaining upright and walking around during the early hours of labour  and thinking about having an open pelvis -I was having twinges for a few hours before regular contractions started.
Your voice and advice came to me throughout the birth which was really reassuring, so thank you again for your guidance.
